Abstract
The price of competitive work, or work in community settings for minimal wage or more, of working-age people who have disabilities trails behind people without disabilities in america. These data are much more alarming among Hispanic people who have actually disabilities. The objective of this research would be to explore the positive and negative experiences of Hispanic caregivers from a Midwestern state while they help their loved ones members with disabilities to realize good postschool results, including competitive work. We carried out semistructured interviews with 13 caregivers of family relations with disabilities aged 14–25 years. Three key themes emerged from our analysis: (a) negative experiences with college educators, (b) negative experiences with community-based providers, and (c) good experiences and strategies for overcoming obstacles. Implications for practice and research that is future talked about.
Competitive work, or work with integrated community settings for minimal wage or more, may be the goal that is primary numerous teenagers because they exit highschool, including people who have disabilities.
